God’s Mercy and Judgment

1 The burden against Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.

God’s Wrath on His Enemies

God is jealous, and the Lord avenges;
The Lord avenges and is furious.
The Lord will take vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies;

³ The Lord is slow to anger and great in power,
And will not at all acquit the wicked.The Lord has His way
In the whirlwind and in the storm,
And the clouds are the dust of His feet.

⁴ He rebukes the sea and makes it dry,
And dries up all the rivers.
Bashan and Carmel wither,
And the flower of Lebanon wilts.

⁵ The mountains quake before Him,
The hills melt,

And the earth heaves at His presence,
Yes, the world and all who dwell in it.

⁶ Who can stand before His indignation?
And who can endure the fierceness of His anger?

His fury is poured out like fire,
And the rocks are thrown down by Him.

⁷ The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him.

⁸ But with an overflowing flood
He will make an utter end of its place,
And darkness will pursue His enemies.

⁹ What do you conspire against the Lord?
He will make an utter end of it.
Affliction will not rise up a second time.

¹⁰ For while tangled like thorns,
And while drunken like drunkards,
They shall be devoured like stubble fully dried.

¹¹ From you comes forth one
Who plots evil against the Lord,
A wicked counselor.

¹² Thus says the Lord:

“Though they are safe, and likewise many,
Yet in this manner they will be cut down
When he passes through.
Though I have afflicted you,
I will afflict you no more;

¹³ For now I will break off his yoke from you,
And burst your bonds apart.”

¹⁴ The Lord has given a command concerning you:

“Your name shall be perpetuated no longer.
Out of the house of your gods
I will cut off the carved image and the molded image. I will dig your grave,
For you are vile.”

¹⁵ Behold, on the mountains
The feet of him who brings good tidings,
Who proclaims peace!

O Judah, keep your appointed feasts,
Perform your vows.
For the wicked one shall no more pass through you; He is utterly cut off.

The Lord’s Goodness to the Faithful

A Psalm of David. Psalm 138

I will praise You with my whole heart;
Before the gods I will sing praises to You.

² I will worship toward Your holy temple,
And praise Your name
For Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

³ In the day when I cried out, You answered me, And made me bold with strength in my soul.

⁴ All the kings of the earth shall praise You, O Lord,
When they hear the words of Your mouth.

⁵ Yes, they shall sing of the ways of the Lord,
For great is the glory of the Lord.

⁶ Though the Lord is on high,
Yet He regards the lowly;
But the proud He knows from afar.

⁷ Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand
Against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.

⁸ The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.

Then I heard THE LORD MOST HIGH SAY:

“This division will expose the bad Shepherds and the wolves who obey them who attempt to hinder the anointing I have placed of My Refining Fires for Holiness within My Sheep. They who have hindered My Sheep as Oppressors to bring upon them the Yoke of The Oppressor shall be judged in full measure because despite My Warnings they would not cease to oppress My Sheep and desist in their attempts to bring My Sheep into their thralldoms.”

“Therefore, those who will not repent shall receive a double portion of My Judgment unto their own destruction. They shall reap a double portion of My Wrath. Their lying and cheating and words of death and destruction they shall reap upon their own heads. However, My People shall rejoice as they inherit the double portion in lands where I lead them even the lands of the wicked and all their possessions shall come into the possession of My People with honour which is the inheritance of My People in My Kingdom.”

“I gave the Oppressors time to prove whether or not their end would be a wicked end or a just end. They who choose to be dead in their sins will reap death. Those who choose to turn and be healed and bless and not curse My People who are My Messengers, My Prophets shall escape with their lives and receive the reward of a Prophet and a righteous man’s reward shall be their portion, but only if they repent and receive My People and My Words spoken by My True Prophets. 

Mat 10:41 – He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.
